Hiawatha ready debut album ‘Language’

Rock Steady parent label Last Gang Records has just announced the upcoming release of Language, the full-length offering from Hiawatha – a collaborative effort between Toronto’s Egyptrixx (David Psutka) and Thrush Hermit’s Ian McGettigan. The album will be released on September 25th in North America, with the pair taking their live show on the road around the release.

The psychedelic-streaked project features a collection of new original compositions from the duo. Premiering this past weekend on Mary Anne Hobbs’ XFM show, listeners got a taste of what’s to come on the record with the ominous and psychedelic first single, “Caring Less And Less To See And Know You” (linked below.)

Psutka describes Language as “a dichotomous record — an exploration of pessimism and optimism; success and failure; concussion and tranquility. This album is a friendly nod to every empty promise of a happy ending.”
