Brighton-based psychedelic-soul outfit Dark Horses debuted their mesmerizing full-length North American release, Black Music, in 2013 on Last Gang Records.

Produced by Richard Fearless (Death in Vegas) and featuring guest vocals by Kasabian’s Tom Meighan (with bonus tracks featuring vocals by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s Robert Levon Been), Dark Horses have created a cohesive, hypnotic album combining tribal sounds, fizzing, lo-fi electronics, with a touch of alt punk under Swedish singer Lisa Elle’s ethereal and chilling vocals. The Horses‘ sound is aptly dark, gloomy, and overtly cinematic, focusing on themes of spectacle, romance, mystery, and transcendence.

Finding fast-friends and fans in artists, A Place To Bury Strangers, Tame Impala, Black Mountain, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Kasabian, the group quickly found themselves as stage-mates, opening arena shows and festivals in the UK (including a coveted BBC slot at Glastonbury) and France to adoring audiences in Europe…and soon to be North America.
