Ever since the Editors formed in 2003 and quickly became one of the leading post-punk revival bands to sweep America and England during the early 21st century, their sound has been compared to the dark, dramatic atmospherics of contemporary bands like Interpol and Bloc Party (not to mention veteran outfits like Joy Division, Echo & the Bunnymen). Editors have enjoyed standout performances at the annual Glastonbury Music Festival, a Mercury Music Prize nomination, an opening tour slot with R.E.M., Top Five U.K. chart success and platinum record sales. The band worked with famed record producer Flood (Depeche Mode, U2, and Nine Inch Nails) on their last 2009 album and with Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse)  and mixer Craig Silvey (Florence and the Machine,  Anna Calvi, Arctic Monkeys) on their return debut release for [PIAS], ‘The Weight Of Your Love’.
