Electro-rock songstress Lights breaks the Top 50 on this week’s Billboard 200 albums chart.
Her second album Siberia comes in at #44 with 8788 albums sold, while also coming in at #11 on the Independent Albums chart.
Additionally Siberia made a major impact on the Canadian Albums chart debuting at #3.

Released on October 4th via Last Gang Records and her own Lights Music, Siberia has been building anticipation over the last two months on the strength of the teaser song “Everybody Breaks A Glass” which was leaked for free to fans in early August and subsequently downloaded over 100,000 times, and the album’s first official single and video, “Toes” which is rising at Alternative radio. Sales of singles from the album are over 24,000 to date.
Lights will begin an 18-city U.S. tour on October 18th and expects to continue touring internationally deep into 2012 in support of Siberia.
